HOW I WASTED ₱450,000?

2009 is when started playing computer games. It’s fun, engaging, challenging and most of all it’s competitive. It’s so fun that I had to be deported from Antipolo to our province. But it didn’t stop me from playing these stupid games (It’s not really stupid).  I actually played more and got deported again to a more secluded place. Guess what? HAHAHA.  I’ve done bad things just to play these games. It's a long list, my family knows it.

Thinking about 8 years of playing DOTA, DOTA2, League of LOL, Special Force, Call of Duty and a lot more. It makes me question HOW MUCH DID IT COST ME PLAYING GAMES FOR 8 YEARS?

Here is my breakdown!

DOTA

I played DOTA and DOTA2 for 8 years. DOTA doesn’t normally require account because it’s a LAN game but you can play online too. In DOTA2 my first account was hacked but I do know that I played for more than 2,000 hours for that account. Then I have this 2;

I played LOL for 1 semester so I can play with my classmates. I reached Diamond 5 then stopped playing.

SEE IT’S NOT THAT EXPENSIVE? Annually, I only pay for 14,558.25 (Not my money) or ₱40 everyday.

But if we start to trade this wasted time for money it will be a huge waste of time and money.

Let’s say instead of playing games, I worked for a job with a minimum wage, the minimum wage here in the Philippines is ₱454…

Conclusion:

A wasted hour and ₱40 looks small but in aggregate it will be a huge sum of wasted money if you keep on doing it every day. Time is gold and you can never take it back. Although you enjoyed most of it, it’s still not that worth it. You lose games, have back pain and get sleep deprived every time. After having fun and facing good opponents, you’re now going to face your own reality.
